HUMANS
PT1 | Society
Human society has withered and deceased since the first great war, which had brought the human's downfall rather than uphold. This leaves the population few and scattered, being a secondary or a form of rat to the now dominant paranormal races. The humans travel and live in groups, there occupations and movements unorganized. The humans don't really have a stronghold or capitol to call home, better yet any form of territory. You can find Humans traveling through any of the territories, commonly seen as bandits, mercenaries, or companions. The only form of dominant group through the humans is an organization called 'The Fallen Crusaders'.
The Fallen Crusaders have a hold known as 'Steelhelm', a stronghold created from an underground dwarven city. Discovered by priests near the end of the great war, the entrance to the city sits below the basement of an old church. The church, dedicated to worship Odin, is located on the border of werecat and werebear territory. The gap, or the border, is called the dead zone, a series of marshlands that was created from the remains of the river. The river was dammed by the fall of the Devarko Bridge, marking it hard for anyone to pass through, and even harder to live in. The only town that stands and functions is the lumber town of Renguard, which is where the church stands.
PT2 | The Fallen Crusaders
The Fallen Crusaders is a group of werehunters who strive to cleanse the world of dirt, which refers to the other paranormal beings throughout Ethea. To even become a member, a member must repeat various sacred verses from the book of divines. The actions must be observed from a high ranked member of the Fallen Crusaders. After the verses have been spoken, the member shall speak the following words: 'Oh Great Odin, Divine of Sin and Punishment, I give my loyalty and will to you and do as you bid.' The member is then branded with the Crusader Seal, which this mark is commonly found on the chest, shoulder, or back. If a person is bald, it's not rare to find the seal branded on there head.
The structure of the Fallen Crusaders is unlike any other found in Ethea. A group of five priests, known as Odin's Bidders, govern the Fallen Crusaders. These select few remain in the temple of Odin, located in the center of Steelhelm. Another member of the order, given the title as 'Odin's Speaker', leads with the consent of Odin's Bidders. Everyone else is a follower, and does what Odin tells them to do. They travel Ethea in small groups of five, wearing black leather and silver armor for protection.
